I liked the original silky color image okay, but there were a few things that I didn't. 1) The background was mostly red and yellow which I thought took away from the subject. 2) At 75mm f/2.8... his shoulder, ear and top of head were in critical focus but his nose was a bit too soft. So... turning to B/W solved the color distraction problem and adding noise made the slight softness less noticeable. Finally a little bit of glow and I really liked the end result too.

Wow this is amazing. And it's even more amazing that I can't see what I'm typing because it's light gray text in a white box. But anyways....I'm assuming this was on a tripod and moved every so often? I imagine theres some feature in photoshop that webs it together too?
